Biography
Bill had started his career at Dunfermline Athletic before moving to the United States to play with Boston Wonder Workers. He then returned to Dunfermline Athletic but was offered by them to United in May 1925. He missed just one game in his first season but injuries in each of the next two campaigns kept him out for a time. In January 1928, he signed for Arsenal.
