Jimmy Robertson
Biography
Jimmy signed from Wellesley Juniors. He played his first game as a trialist and then signed. Re-signed for season 1939-40, and following the outbreak of WW2, he turned out regularly. He was in the side for the Emergency War Cup final in 1940. Jimmy appears to have signed up for military service but remained on United’s retained list until he was released at the end of 1945-46.
