For no lees than the third time this season, we went down by the same scoreline to Kilmarnock the only side to have beaten us by more than a single goal! On a freezing night this was all to chilling a re-run of the opening game of the season, when we also ran the show in the first half, but ended up trailing. Paul Wright's near post header from a Durrant free-kick was the home side's first worth-while attempt on goal. To demonstrate our dominance, Alan Combe didn't make his first save until five minutes after the interval. Any hopes of a point were washed up when Darren Patterson was adjudged to arm away a cross and Durrant's neat penalty conversion ensured there was no pre-Christmas cheer for United supporters.
