United earned a battling 1-1 draw this afternoon at Tannadice against visitors Kilmarnock. Optimism was high amongst the substantial home support following two wins and a draw in the Tangerines’ three previous matches however Manager Ian McCall was restricted in his team selection by injuries to Scott Paterson, Jim Paterson and Barry Robson. In a game which looked as if a single counter would perhaps be enough Kilmarnock may have thought they had notched a winner but the Tangerines stuck back within two minutes.

In the last fifteen minutes United went all out for a winner but Kilmarnock held several attacks at bay to hang on for a point.
