We stretched our unbeaten domestic run to 11 matches this term, though this proved the least demanding outing against an Accies' side obviously lacking confidence after their dismal start to life in the Premier Division. It took us around half an hour to make the breakthrough. Gallacher was the architect of that first goal. Accies enjoyed their best spell of the game early in the second half, pinning us down at the back. However, when we cut loose from this the goals flowed. Eamonn Bannon's run through the centre ended with him laying on the chance for Paul Hegarty to strongly side foot his second of the match. Paul Sturrock then set up Iain Ferguson who lashed in a shot from 8 yards. A Kevin Gallacher cut back was then slotted in by Iain Ferguson for the fifth. After easing off we almost got another when Iain Ferguson saw a cracking drive rebound from the cross bar. A goal did come just before the finish, but it was that the other end, with Jim Liddle notching, scant consolation for the despondent home side.
