Over 400 attended this hastily arranged friendly which proved to be an entertaining game with United just pipping the home side in the dying seconds.
United opened the scoring in the 10th minute when John Reilly headed in an Ian Britton free kick. Former Tannadice winger Paul Cavanagh equalised just on the stroke of half-time. John Clark was unlucky to see a shot strike the crossbar in the 52nd minute but seconds from time the big striker crashed home the winner after John Reilly laid on the shooting chance.
