Match Report

Paul Sturrock made nine changes to the team which lost out to Bohemians and this was a game which saw a vast improvement.

After some early pressure and near misses United went ahead in 30 minutes when David Partridge headed in Jim Paterson's free kick. 2 minutes later an excellent move involving Tassos Venetis, Alex Mathie and Stephen McConalogue. McConalogue's shot was parried out by Bray keeper Alan Young and the onrushing Jim Paterson coolly slotted the ball into the empty net. Whilst the Tangerines couldn't extend their lead in the second half they continued to threaten and Bray never appeared likely to stage a comeback.
