United finished a fairly even first 45 minutes the stronger and this spilled over into the second half as United chased a winner. This eventually came from the Bannon-Gough duo to give us our first win of the New Year and complete a holiday double over the Dons.
Incredibly, lightning struck for the third consecutive time, as Eamonn Bannon flighted in a free-kick for Richard Gough to head United's winner.
