Rangers dealt an early hammer-blow with a goal a minute after the interval. O'Hara neatly heading in a Tommy McLean cross. When Doug Houston set up Alfie Conn's second in the 76th minute, the game appeared over as a contest, but within a minute we pulled one back Frank Kopel directed in a shot from the left which spun off Derek Johnstone and past McCloy. 'Super Sub' Alfie Conn settled it in the visitor's favour with his second goal six minutes from the end when he scored with a fine individual effort.
