Apart from restricting Aberdeen to few chances in the opening half, it was United's more direct approach which appeared more likely to pay dividends, but we came up against Bobby Clark in superb form in the Dons' goal. His save from a Paddy Gardner free-kick was the feature of the opening half. Utilising an off-side trap after the break, the tangerines let the home side come at them and it was Sandy Davie's turn to shine.
However, he proved defiant and Aberdeen failed to score for the third consecutive week, enabling us to take a deserved point from this very hard
fought contest.
