Match report

There was an early scare for us when Billy Thomson's clearance struck Baptie and spun viciously towards goal, but thankfully struck the wrong side of the post. Play was immediately swung to the other end and Marshall could only tip over a looping Paatelainen header. lain Ferguson then first timed a shot just over the bar, but eight minutes later in the 17th minute the striker had an even better chance. Kevin Gallacher pushed the ball through to Mixu, who went on to round the 'keeper who brought him down. Unfortunately, lain Ferguson's spot-kick was wide of the left-hand post.…Read moreRead less
Unfortunately, lain Ferguson's spot-kick was wide of the left-hand post. A little of the momentum went out of our play though only a McNair header off the line kept out a Mixu header.

After the break there was less pressure on the visitor's goal and Conn brought out a fine save from Billy Thomson when he palmed away his strong header. On the hour mark a Kevin Gallacher shot was well saved by Marshall, particularly as it was deflected. Marshall then saved well from a volley hit by Mixu. From then on a goalless draw always appeared the inevitable outcome of a disappointing game for the home support.
