Match report
The curtain came down on another Tannadice season in disappointing fashion for United as Rangers became only the third side to leave with maximum points.
Jim McInally made his last appearance at Tannadice and second last for the club.
In a game charged with emotion for the visiting fans who hoped to see their side clinch the coveted nine-in-a-row, there was nothing but joy. From the moment that Brian Laudrup headed home a Charlie Miller cross, you could only envisage one winner and that was exactly how it turned out.
