Match report
When the teams trooped off at half-time on level terms, it would have been
hard to envisage the rush of goals, which Rangers were to score after the
break. Jamie Buchan's early own
goal was negated when Jim Mclntyre swept home the equaliser as United came back into the game. However, after again conceding an early goal in the second half, there was to be no salvation this time.
